Aspireship
About
Aspireship offers expert-led, self-paced Foundations courses and live, cohort-based AI programs for people in tech and business roles. Its Foundations courses cover SaaS sales, customer success, B2B marketing, revenue operations, sales management, talent acquisition and practical AI fluency, and the first section of each is free. The AI Shipyard is a six-week live cohort in which participants study real AI systems built for clients and then build their own with expert review. For companies, Aspireship sells team seats in open cohorts, private cohorts, course licences and AI implementation, and its employer terms also cover staffing and candidate referral services.
Aspireship’s Story
Aspireship was founded in October 2019. Founder Corey Kossack started it after scaling his previous SaaS company from startup to acquisition, where he saw talented people held back by training that did not work and enterprise-level programs most companies could not afford. Its stated mission is to make career advancement and team development more accessible by removing barriers to high-quality training.
Programs
- SaaS Sales Foundations: about 23 hours in 7 sections on consultative selling, multi-channel prospecting, qualifying leads, pipeline management and AI in sales, with a certificate on completion
- Aspireship Plus: all seven Foundations courses, including SaaS Sales and Sales Management, plus member discounts on advanced courses
- The AI Shipyard: a six-week live cohort that studies real client AI builds, then has participants build their own with practitioner review
- For teams: seats for three or more people in open cohorts, private cohorts, course licences with completion tracking, and AI implementation
TopCloserR Perspective
What we’d expect selling here to look like
Aspireship sells self-serve course memberships to individuals and a consultative team offer to companies: cohort seats, private cohorts, course licences and AI implementation, with pricing given after an enquiry. The team sale implies conversations with sales, customer success and operations leaders about standardising on AI workflows and training.
What it builds, by career stage
- Breaking in
- For SDRs, BDRs and those aiming for a first sales role, the business implies following up on team enquiries and prospecting functional leaders in customer success, sales and operations who need their teams trained on AI.
- Building
- For account executives and account managers, it implies scoping private cohorts and implementation projects and expanding course licences across an organisation.
- Leading
- For sales managers and heads of sales, it implies building a team that sells a mix of training and services, where scoping and delivery capacity shape each deal.
Where it can take you
The experience transfers to corporate training, edtech and AI consulting companies. Selling scoped implementation work also suits roles at professional services and SaaS partner firms.
